Drone Documentation for Compliant Flights
When signing on with TDC, you will be required to undertake at minimum, induction and drone type training. All training aligns with CASA rules and regulations, so you fly in a compliant, professional and safe manner.
We stress the importance of pre-flight planning, pre-flight checks, airspace awareness, risk assessments and documentation.
All competency, training and other documentation is retained with TDC for 7 years.

Practical Flying Area Access
Access to Class G airspace 20 mins south of Darwin for training and currency check flights, equipment testing and scenario rehearsals.
- Max height : 400ft/120m
- Access – pre booked times with TDC
- Aircraft: fixed wing, powerlift, multirotor up to 25kg
EVLOS Flights
EVLOS – Extended Visual Line of Sight. TDC has EVLOS in their Operations manual and with training, will instruct users on how to communicate, manage risks and be compliant whilst flying in extended visual line of sight that aligns with CASA rules and regulations.
- Training: EVLOS under 400ft during daylight including risks, contigencies and communication.
- Outcome:certified remote pilots permitted to fly EVLOS under TDC ReOC.
- Documentation: competency sign off’s and documentation retained on Fly Freely and with TDC
Fly Freely Drone Management Platform Access
The FlyFreely Drone Management Platform enables TDC to manage all the drone operations, compliance and fleet within one simple to use platform. FlyFreely enables the remote pilots to efficiently plan, execute and reconcile compliant operations – both offline and online. Fly Freely stores aircraft registration, flight manuals, pilot credentials, operational releases, flight logs and more.
- Training: all TDC remote pilots will be trained to use the Fly Freely platform. All flights under TDC ReOC must be authorised through Fly Freely.
- Documentation: Maintained on Fly Freely accessible by remote pilot and sufficient to meet CASA documentation requirements as required by the Manual Of Standards.
